It was quite a happening week for the Indian mobile market. A number of smartphones and accessories were launched this week that include the Moto 360 Sport. Here we have listed all the devices that were launched earlier this week.
Moto G Turbo Virat Kohli Edition
Motorola launched a special edition of its Moto G Turbo, Moto G Turbo Virat Kohli Edition, earlier this week. It has the same features as the normal version but it comes with a ‘Virat emblem’.
It comes with a FanBox that has a miniature bat autographed by Virat Kohli and a welcome letter signed by the cricketer. Buyers will also get 1-year subscription to the Virat FanBox Club that will give access to information and updates related to Virat Kohli; a chance to meet the cricketer in real-life at special events; live and private chats with Virat Kohli via the app, and special offers on products and services.
The Moto G Turbo Virat Kohli Edition is priced at Rs 16,999 against Rs 12,999 price tag of normal version. It is water resistant and offers Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon octa core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 32 GB expandable memory slot, 2470 mAh battery, 5 inch HD display, dual SIM with 4G, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Moto 360 Sport
It was launched in black colour in India earlier this week at Rs 19,999.
The Moto 360 Sport is dust and water resistant and thus is IP67 certified. It has optical heart rate monitor, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 300 mAh battery that claims to last a whole day.
The Moto 360 Sport’s case has 45mm diameter. This Android Wear based smartwatch is compatible with both Android devices as well as with iPhones. Its 1.37 inch display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 263 ppi pixel density.
The Moto 360 Sport is powered by the 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU and 512 MB RAM. It has 4 GB of internal storage. It has Barometric Altimeter, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope, Vibration/Haptics engine sensors.
Asus launched two phones of Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd Generation in India earlier this week. It comes in two camera variants. One of the models has 5 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera and is priced at Rs 5,299 while the second version has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera and it is priced at Rs 5,699.
The first generation Zenfone Go 4.5 was launched in December last year at Rs 5,299.
The new Zenfone Go 4.5 (2nd Gen) has model name ZB452KG. It will come in Glamour Red, Pearl White, Lemon Yellow, Glacier Grey, Silver Blue, and Sheer Gold colour variants.
The new model has Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, 8 GB of internal storage, 64 GB micro SD card slot, 1 GB RAM and a 2070 mAh battery. The difference between the new and older version is that the latest model has a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor while the older one has a Mediatek CPU.
Besides, the Zenfone Go 4.5 (2nd Gen) has ZenUI, PixelMaster camera technology, 3G, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth, and a Micro USB port.
Xolo X060
This 6,000 mAh power bank was launched at Rs 999. It is exclusively available onAmazon and is available in Grey and Black color variants.
The Xolo X060 power bank comes equipped with a lithium-ion polymer battery cells. Also, it has quick charge feature that ensures faster charging of your power bank for its efficient usage. It has a micro USB 2.0 port (5V 2A), micro USB A port (5V 2A) and power ON/OFF button with LED indicators to show battery status, a USB output port and USB input port. It measures 13.4 x 0.8 x 6.6 cm and weighs 140 grams.
The Xolo X060 power bank has a slim 7.9mm metal body and it takes about 4.5 hours to fully charge. The power bank turns off automatically when not in use after 15 seconds. Xolo claims that it comes with number of safety features like protection from short-circuit, over-discharge, over-temperature, overcharge, overvoltage, overpower and current leakage and it comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
Amkette EvoTV2
This streaming device is exclusively available on Snapdeal at special price of Rs 6,499 till May 28 after which it will be available for Rs 6,999.
The Amkette EvoTV2 is basically a Google Chromecast like device that helps you stream movies, songs, games etc over WiFi, broadband.
The EvoTV2 claims to have an easy to use interface and EVO TV App Store that has curated content. Lava A72, A76, A89
The A72, A76 and A89 are priced at Rs 6,499, Rs 5,699 and Rs 5,999 respectively. The A72 and A76 are available for purchase but A89 will be available in coming few weeks.
Lava A76 features a 4.5 inch display screen, while A72 and A89 feature 5 inch display screens. The smartphones are powered by 1.5 GHz quad core processor and 1GB RAM. The phones have 8 GB ROM and expandable storage slot of up to 32GB capacity. All these three smartphones come with 4G VoLTE technology, promising superior voice and data experience. They are based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Additionally, A72 and A89 will get a guaranteed upgrade to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating software.
Lava A72, A76 and A89 come with 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Easyfone
Seniorworld.com, an Indian company which is focused on the holistic needs of seniors, has announced the launch of ‘Easyfone’, a senior-friendly feature phone.
The Easyfone has easy-to-read large screen with big font, large dialing keys, the cradle charger which makes phone charging easier and Photo-dial with which seniors can dial their favorite contacts through a single key press
Easyfone has SOS button as well which will help the users get help during emergencies. Pressing the SOS button sets off a chain of 4 automated actions including calls and SMS to 5 emergency contacts with critical details. The critical details comprises the location of the user, the battery strength of the device and contact details of the user’s doctors, medical Insurance etc.
Another feature of the phone is Whitelist option – which limits incoming calls only from the white listed numbers, a customizable menu that helps hide unused features, and some other features which haven’t been seen in feature phones before. For after-sales services, the company offering a home pickup and delivery service for repairs.
The Eluga I3 is available in three different colours – Champagne gold, Rose gold and Marine Blue.
The Panasonic Eluga I3 comes with 4G VoLTE technology, promising rich data and voice experience. It has a 5.5 inch HD IPS display. The ELUGA I3 operates on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with the Panasonic FitHome user interface. The device comes with 5 megapixel front camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

It was reportedly launched in India earlier this week for Rs 26,999 though we have not officially heard anything about it from Gionee itself.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus has a huge 6 inch screen and a fingerprint sensor as well. Its AMOLED Display has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution. Besides, the smartphone has 3 GB RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Gionee’s Amigo 3.0 UI on top, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core 64-bit processor and 64 GB of internal storage. With its huge 5020 mAh battery, the M5 Plus claims to offer 34.5 days and 829 hours of maximum standby time.
