Vivo has launched a new smartphone under its Z-series in China – Vivo Z5i. The Vivo Z5i is priced at 1,798 Yuan (approx. Rs 18,300). It is a rebranded version of the Vivo U3 which was launched in China with a different storage option.
Vivo U3 comes in two variants – 4GB and 64GB variant and 6GB and 64GB storage variant while the new Vivo Z5i comes in a sole 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Vivo U3 was recently launched in India as the Vivo U20 with a starting price of Rs 10,990.
The smartphone comes in Jade Blue and Onyx Black colour options and is available for purchase in China through the Vivo online store.
Vivo Z5i features a 6.53-inch display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with a waterdrop-style display notch, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90.30 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The phone has an expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).
For the cameras, Vivo Z5i is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a combination of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 lens and 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. There is a front-facing camera of a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone also features a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with Funtouch OS 9.2 on top and the battery capacity is 5000mAh with 18W fast charging. The device measurements are 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.69mm and it weighs 193 grams.
