Vivo has now confirmed that it will launch V17 in India on December 9. The company earlier sent media invites for the launch event on December 9 but did not reveal the name of the smartphone to be launched.
Now Vivo India on its official Twitter handle has announced that Vivo V17 will be launched on December 9 in India. The tweet reads “Can you hear the buzz! The #ClearAsReal 32MP Front Camera on #vivoV17 is here to create some flutter. Launching on 9th December,12PM.” Another tweet says “Stay LIT even at night with the Super Night mode on #vivoV17. Launching on 9th December,12PM. #ClearAsReal.”

Vivo V17 will feature a punch-hole display instead of a waterdrop notch display as seen on the V17 model launched in Russia. To recall, Vivo V17 features a 6.38-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.
For the optics, the Vivo V17 smartphone has a diamond-shaped quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel as a primary lens, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
Vivo V17 is fueled with a big 4500mAh battery with 18W Fast charging support. It runs Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9. The phone measures 159.25 x 75.19 x 8.68mm and weighs 186.7 grams. Connectivity options are Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, Dual-Band WiFi, and Dual-SIM support.
