Sony Xperia Tipo Dual now available for Rs 10,299

The dual SIM version of Sony's entry level handset offers 3.2 inch touch screen, Android 4.0 and a 3.2 mega pixel camera.

The dual version of Sony’s cheapest Xperia phone, called the Xperia Tipo, is now available for Rs 10,299 which is Rs 800 more than its single SIM version. However, it is now the cheapest Dual SIM smartphone of Sony with Android 4.0 operating system.

The Sony Tipo Dual comes with a hardware button using which one can easily switch between the two SIMs. The rest of the feature between the single SIM and dual SIM Sony Xperia Tipo smartphone is identical.

The Sony Xperia Tipo runs on an 800 Qualcomm Scorpion processor, Adreno 200 graphics processing unit and 512 RAM. The phone has a 3.2-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with HVGA of 320 x 480 pixels. The phone also comes with Sony’s Timescape user interface, and has a 3.2 primary camera.

Sony Xperia Tipo is a good looking handset and at 99.4 grams, it is quite lightweight as well. Sony Xperia Tipo comes with 2.5 of as well as an expandable slot with support up to 32 GB. The phone is powered by a 1500 battery with promised talktime of up to 4 hours.

The phone offers regular features common on most Android phones like, 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and gravity sensor. Sony has also used its xLOUD audio filter technology which claims to improve the audio experience for the user.

Though players like Micromax, Karbonn and Spice offer much better specification in this price bracket like a much bigger 5 inch screen, 1 Ghz etc, people who are brand conscious will find the Xperia Tipo an attractive option.
