Sony Xperia Aqua M4 coming soon, claims Mumbai seller

The water and dust proof smartphone has the latest Android operating system and an octa core processor.

Sony’s Xperia Aqua M4 will be launched soon in India, according to Mumbai based seller, Mahesh Telecom.

“Coming soon.This monsoon. #Sony #XperiaM4 Aqua with superior low light Photography, 2GB RAM ,16 inbuilt #WaterProof,” the seller revealed via its Twitter account.

Meanwhile, a website has claimed that the phone will be launched on May 26 for which Sony is all set to sent invites to various media groupes.

The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is a water and dust proof smartphone measuring 145.5 x 72.6 x 7.3 mm and weighs 136 grams. The smartphone sports a 5 inch display which comes with high definition resolution (720p). The Aqua M4 is based on the Lollipop operating system and is powered by the Snapdragon 615 comprising of a 64 bit octa core processor.

The Sony Xperia Aqua M4 has a 13 rear auto focus camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has Sony Exmor RS image sensor, SteadyShot video stabilisation technology, image stabiliser, 4X digital zoom, and HDR features. Its 2400 mAh battery claims to offer 13 hours and 17 minutes of talktime.

The smartphone has AGPS, 4.1, 3.5 mm audio jack, DLNA, NFC, GLONASS, Miracast, and WiFi with hotspot functionality. It isn’t clear whether it has dual SIM or single SIM slot. Also the listing on Sony’s website says that it has connectivity but not all markets will get the version. Apart from that the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has 2 GB RAM, 8/16 GB of built in storage and a 128 GB micro card slot.

Considering its price, we expect it to be cost around Rs 20,000.
