Sony launched Xperia 1 along with Xperia L3, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus smartphones at the Mobile World Congress last month. At that time, the company did not revealed the exact availability or pricing details of Xperia 1. Now the phone is now available for pre-order and has been listed by UK retailer Clove, revealing the Xperia 1 price-tag.
The listing was first spotted by XperiaBlog on on Clove Technology. The Sony Xperia 1 is listed at GBP 707.50 (approx. Rs 64,800) without VAT and GBP 849 (approx Rs 77,800) with VAT in UK. The phone is already available for pre-orders and the sales will begin in May end.
The Sony Xperia 1 is company’s first smartphone to feature a triple-camera setup. The setup comes with a combination of three 12-megapixel Sensors with first 12MP sensor sporting an f/1.6 aperture, 1.4-micron Pixel size, second 12-megapixel sensor sport a 135-degree wide angle lens with f/2.4 Aperture and the third sensor is f/2.4 aperture. The setup also features 2x optical zoom, OIS and hybrid OIS/EIS video stabilization. It also features 960fps super slow motion video recording at Full HD and HD coupled with 4K HDR movie recording, RAW noise reduction, up to 10fps AF/AE and RGBC-IR sensor. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with 1/4 sensor size, 1.12μm, 84-degree Wide-Angle and f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone features a tall display and it a first from Sony to feature a 21:9 aspect ratio. The phone features a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with a screen Resolution of 3840 x 1644 pixels. The company claims that the new display is powered by CineAlta. THe screen supports DCI-P3 100 per cent and BT.2020.
The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it is backed by a 3300mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive charging Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi wireless charging. The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset along with Adreno 640 GPU. It is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C port.
