Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 get Android 9.0 Pie update in India

The company has started rolling out Pie update to Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 in India.

Samsung recently announced that it will roll out Android 9.0 Pie update to its M-series of smartphones from June 3. Now, the company has started rolling out Pie update to Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 in India.

The latest update brings One to the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 along with May 2019 security patch. The update weighs around 926MB for the Galaxy M10 and around 1883MB for the Galaxy M20. The update was first spotted by Sammobile. With this, customers of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will get to enjoy the new OneUI from Samsung. The user interface comes loaded with new design language along with the system-wide dark theme. The update also brings a new notification panel along with refined Samsung keyboard.

The update also adds call history for up to 2000 entries and it comes with new Scene optimizer in the camera mode, which improves the image quality. However, this feature is not available for the Galaxy M10 users. The update also discontinues call stickers and adds HEIF image support. The company has also removed LinkedIn and Mobile Office. However, the update adds Amazon Prime Video. In order to check for the update, users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download updates manually. However, it is important to note that the phone should have at least 20 percent battery and you need to keep your phone on charge.

To recall, Samsung Galaxy M20 is priced at Rs 11,990 for the 4GB+64GB variant, while the 3GB +32GB variant is priced at Rs 9,990. It features a 6.3-inch FHD+ infinity-V display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Samsung’s latest Exynos 7904 octa-core processor. It features a 5000 battery and a dual rear camera, with ultra-wide angle lens. It comes with a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP ultra-wide feature. There is an 8-megapixel front camera in Galaxy M20.

Samsung Galaxy M10 is priced at Rs 8,990 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs 7,990 for the 2GB+16GB. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ infinity-V display and is powered by Exynos 7870 octa-core processor. It comes with a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP ultra-wide feature. There is a 5-megapixel front camera present in the device. Galaxy M10 comes with 3400mAh battery.
