Recently, it was reported that Samsung is working on the Galaxy A8 (2018) Oreo update. And now Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) with model number SM-A530F has got WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA) with Android 8.0 Oreo onboard. The listing simply implies that Samsung is perhaps testing the latest software and may release the same for the device soon.
GalaxyClub reports that, alongside Galaxy A8 (2018), Samsung A8 (2018)+ with model number SM-A730F has also got the WiFi certification. Since the devices have now got the WiFi certification, we can expect the devices to get Oreo update soon. Both the smartphones were launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
To recall, the Galaxy A8 (2018) features a 5.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) comes loaded with 6.0-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display with both sporting a screen Resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. Both the smartphone also comes with Always On Display feature as well.
Both of them bears a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with the same Aperture of f/1.9. The Samsung Galaxy A8 (208) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) are powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor. The Galaxy A8 (2018) is backed by a 4GB of RAM and comes in 33GB or 64GB storage option. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The Galaxy A8+ (2018) comes in two configurations: one with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the other sports a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In both smartphones, the memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
