PNB introduces balance over missed call service

PNB customers who wish to know their savings account balance just have to give a missed call.

At a time when most banks in India offer balance enquiry services through SMS or apps, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has started a new service through which its customers can know their savings account balance just by giving a missed call!

PNB customers who wish to know their savings account balance have to just give a missed call from their registered mobile number on 18001802222 or 01202490000.

Do remember to disconnect the call as it will not automatically get disconnected because the two numbers mentioned above are customer care numbers, and if you don’t disconnect your call you would be connected to a language selection menu and after that to a customer care executive.

If your mobile number is not registered with your PNB account you can get it registered by calling a PNB customer care executive and answering verification questions.

This is the first time that a missed call balance enquiry initiative has been launched by any bank in the country. Earlier, missed call alert services were used by Anna Hazare’s team to connect with fellow Indians in the fight against corruption.
