Plantronics, a noted headphone manufacturer, has launched BackBeat Go 2, its new generation earbuds. These Bluetooth earbuds allow users not only to listen to songs but also to receive calls.
The Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 comes with an innovative charging case, which allows you to charge the Bluetooth earbuds anytime and anywhere. However, for the charging case you have to shell out Rs 1,000 more, otherwise it comes in black and white colours for Rs 4,990.
As per Plantronics, the BackBeat Go 2 has P2i military grade nano coating that protects the earbuds against sweat, moisture and spills. It has a very smallish profile so you can easily keep it in your pockets while the tangle free cable protects it from damage. Moreover, it has three types of ear cushions – small, mid and large.
With full charge, as per Plantronics, the earbuds provide 4-5 hours of music playback and 5 hours of talktime. It has a Deepsleep mode as well that puts it into hibernation, which is said to to extend its standby time to an unbelievable six months; otherwise it lasts for 10 days on standby. On the other hand, the charging case is also said to extend its talktime by up to 14.5 hours.
“Just 20 minutes connected to the charging case adds another hour of listening time,” claims Plantronics.
As far as technical specifications go the Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 weighs 14 grams and has Bluetooth 2.1, with an operating range of 10 meters (from phones and tablets). It has 6 mm neodymium speakers and comes with noise cancellation.
