This week saw the launch of world's cheapest Android phone.

This was one of the craziest week we saw in recent times. Infact, thanks to Ringing Bell, the world took notice of the Indian smartphone market. But besides the Freedom 251, there were few new devices were also launched in the Indian market which we have listed below.

Ringing Bells Freedom 251

This was ofcourse the most talked about phone, not just in India but all over the world. With a price tag of just Rs 251, the Freedom 251 made everyone all over the world to sit and take a notice of it.

Despite its price tag, the phone though offers good features that include 5.1 Lollipop operating system and a 1.3 GHz quad core processor. The phone has a 4 inch IPS touchscreen as well that has WVGA (800×480 pixels) resolution. It has 8 of internal memory, 1 GB RAM, a 1450 mAh battery, 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera, and supports dual SIMs.

Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D

Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D was listed on Amazon India for Rs 6,899. The smartphone comes in white and black colour variants.

The Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A53 quad core (MediaTek MT6735P) processor which is paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes packed with a 2200 mAh lithium-polymer battery, which claims to offer talk-time of 6-8 hours and standby time of 120 hours on network.

The Cloud Crystal 2.5D comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable by upto 32GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel snapper and an flash light on its rear and while a 2-megapixel camera is in its front panel. The rear camera is armed with smile detection, anti-shake feature, live photo mode, gesture capture mode, and panorama shot mode features.

On the connectivity front, the device offers Dual SIM, 4G, Bluetooth,Wi-Fi, GPS/ AGPS, and a 2.0 port. The include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, and G sensor. The handset measures 14.3 x 0.9 x 7.1 cm and weighs 150 grams.

Celkon CT111

Celkon CT111, a 7 inch tablet, was launched for Rs 2,999 and it is available exclusively via Amazon.

The new Celkon CT 111 tablet has a 7 inch touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with unknown RAM and built in memory. The device has a 32 GB micro SD card slot. This Android KitKat operating system based tablet offers a 2-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The tablet gets the power from 2500 mAh battery.

The Celkon CT 111 offers WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 4.0, and supports 3G Dongle with OTG support on Pen Drive, Key pad, mouse, Card Reader etc.

Noise Trace

Noise Trace was launched earlier this week. The Noise Trace is available in black and blue colours and is priced at Rs 1,599. However, you can get it for just Rs 1,299 under an ongoing exclusive offer. The smartband has a detachable core, so you can wear it as a wrist watch and even as a pendant too. According to Noise, “It measures the intensity and duration of physical activity over the course of a normal day, whether you are at home, in the gym, at work or​ in your free time. It also count the steps and calculate how much calorie is burnt.”

The Noise Trace has a circular display that shows notifications, time and other details. It is splash resistant and has as well as Bluetooth connectivity. The smartband has no control button on the product. You could double click the screen to see the time; and to control/use it after connecting by mobile phones.

Xolo Era 4G

Named as Xolo Era 4G, the new phone has been priced at Rs 4,777 and is exclusively available through Snapdeal.

Xolo Era 4G, as its named suggests, offers 4G-LTE connectivity. It has two slots and only one of the SIM at a time can offer 4G connectivity. Also remember that it is among few devices to come with VoLTE technology. VoLTE or Voice over is known to offer higher quality voice calls than the traditional 2G technology (which is there in all other non-VoLTE devices).

The Xolo Era 4G is armed with the 1.5 GHz SPREADTRUM SC9830A quad core processor, Mali 400 MP2 graphics processor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. It has 8 GB of internal storage while its expandable storage slot can hold a micro SD card of up to 32 GB capacity.

The Xolo Era 4G, which measures 145.5 x 72 x 8.45 mm, has a 5 inch HD (720p) IPS display that has scratch resistant Gorilla Glass. Currently it is based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system but Xolo has promised to update it to the Android Marshmallow version.

This 142 grams weighing smartphone has a 2500 mAh battery which is removable. As per Xolo, it offers 329 hours of 3G standby or 10 hours and 45 minutes of 3G talktime. Besides, the Era 4G has a 3.5 mm jack, a micro USB port, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi (b/g/n), WiFi Hotspot, WiFi Direct, FM radio, AGPS, a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.

Swipe Konnect 5.1 Limited Edition

Swipe Technologies launched the Swipe Konnect 5.1 Limited Edition at Rs 3,999. The smartphone comes in Sandstone Black finish and is available exclusively on Snapdeal.

Priced at Rs 1,199, the Aqua Shine comes three colours- white, black and white-red. Aqua Shine has a 2.4 inch display, keypad and with multi language support. This feature phone has a 2100 mAh battery, which claims to offer up-to 525 hours of standby time, up-to 10 hours of talk-time and up-to 30 hours of multimedia support.

The Intex Aqua Ace Mini, which comes in white colour, features a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280p) display and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core 64bit A53 Cortex (MT6735P Mediatek Chipset) processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes packed with a 3000 mAh Polymer Lithium-ion battery, which claims to offer up-to 8-12 hours of talk-time and up-to 200-300 hours standby time.
