Oppo had announced a red colour variant of Oppo R9s in December last year. Now the company seems to be unveiling another new colour variant of Oppo R9s soon. A marketing poster has been spotted in China which reveals that the Oppo R9s will soon get a new green colour option. The leak also shows R9S Plus along with Oppo R9s which hints that R9s Plus will also be getting the green colour variant. Oppo had launched Oppo R9s along with Oppo R9s Plus in China in October last year.
The Oppo R9s is currently available in four colour options – Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Red. Sadly, no details about when the new green colour will be finally unveiled were revealed. But as per reports, the green variant will available for purchase later this month. We expected the pricing of this new variant to be same as of Oppo R9s other colour variants.
The new colour variant is expected to have the same set of specifications as the existing variants. Oppo R9s offers a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and 128GB expandable memory via micro SD card slot. The smartphones run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with ColorOS 3.0 on the top of it and is backed up by a 3,100 mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge. There is also fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button on the front.
The Oppo R9s flaunts a 16-megapixel shooter on the back with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor, 6P lens, EIS, LED Flash, 4K video recording and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The handset measures 153 x 74.3 x 6.58 mm and weighs 145 grams.
