Oppo K1 expected to launch in Feb with in-display fingerprint sensor

Oppo K1 features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a tiny waterdrop notch with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with Adreno 512 graphics

Seems like Oppo is all set to launch a mid-range smartphone – K1, in Februaryin the Indian market. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart as the e-commerce portal has created a dedicated page on its portal teasing the upcoming launch.

The teaser on Flipkart does not reveal the name of the smartphone to be unveiled but it just shows that the phone will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The bottom portion of the phone in the teaser images suggests that the phone is likely to be the Oppo K1.

The Oppo K1 was launched in China in October last year for 1599 yuan (approx. Rs 17,100) and 1799 yuan (approx. Rs 19,300) for the 4GB and 6GB variants respectively.

The Oppo K1 features a 6.4-inch Full AMOLED screen with a tiny waterdrop notch with a of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with Adreno 512 graphics. The phone has 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB storage.

The smartphone comes with a dual camera setup at the back that combines a 16MP primary sensor with a 2MP depth sensor in addition to an LED flash. On the front, there’s a 25MP selfie camera. As for biometrics, the Oppo K1 equips an in-display fingerprint sensor on the front.

Oppo K1 smartphone runs on 8.1 Oreo with the company’s own ColorOS 5.2 interface on top and is fuelled by a 3,600mAh battery. The Oppo K1 supports Dual VoLTE with support for WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), 5, and GLONASS.
