HMD Global, the brand behind Nokia-branded smartphones, is reported to launch a new flagship smartphone on July 31 known as Nokia 8. The phone has been subjected to various leaks in the past, but this is the first time we get to see the final design of the upcoming smartphone.
The press renders were obtained by Venture Beat, which shows the device in full glory. The phone looks to have a unibody design and the screen comes with some minimal bezels, which might be protected with a 2.5D curved glass. There is a front-facing camera along with an earpiece and Nokia branding at the top, while at the base there is a home button, which also houses a fingerprint sensor, flanked between a back and recent menu button. At the right, one will find volume controls and power on/off buttons. The top and bottom of the device sports antenna bands.
Coming to the back of the device, the first one will notice is the dual-camera setup, which is completed by a Zeiss branding. There is also an autofocus system coupled with LED flash and just beneath it, one will find Nokia branding. The headphone resides at the top, while the charging port will be at the base, which might be accompanied by speaker grilles. Previously, a Scandinavian retailer has claimed that the Nokia 8 will hit stores on July 31, 2017, at a price of €589 (approximately Rs 43,415).
