HMD Global has confirmed that it has delayed the rollout of Nokia 8 Android Pie update due to few issues. The company has confirmed that it will roll out the latest update in a couple of more days.
Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global, tweeted that the brand is working on the issues. “We have been burning the midnight oil to get your Nokia 8 on Android Pie. Unfortunately we still have few issues to address and need a couple of more days to make it perfect. Thank you for your patience,” Sarvikas tweeted.

To recall, the smartphone was launched in India in September last year at a price tag of Rs 36,999. The phone got a price cut and it is available for Rs 28,999. Nokia 8 is equipped with a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
For optics, the phone features a 13-megapixels (Colour + OIS) along with 13-megapixels (Mono) Sensors with dual-tone Flash with an Aperture of f/2.0, 76.9Ëš, PDAF and IR range finder. ZEISS powers the camera department. In the front, there is a 13-megapixels PDAF, 1.12um, f/2.0 selfie camera. The phone was loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat, however, HMD Global rolled out a new update that bumped up the version to Android 8.1 Oreo.
