HMD Global seems to be preparing the successor of Nokia 7 Plus. Dubbed as Nokia 7.1 Plus or Nokia X7 (in China), the smartphone has been found listed on Chinese regulatory site, TENAA, revealing some key specifications and renders.
The listing reveals that the upcoming smartphone will come with model number Nokia TA-1131 and starting with the design first, one can see a tall display at the front coupled with a front-facing camera and earpiece at the top, while at the base, there is Nokia branding. The right houses volume controls and power on/off, which are outlined with a silver line. The back panel houses vertically-aligned dual-camera setup at the top-centre position and just beneath it, you will find fingerprint sensor and Nokia branding. The listing reveals that the device will come in Red, Silver and Blue colour options.
Coming to the hardware configurations, the Nokia 7.1 Plus sports a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The phone will be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, which in all probability would be Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. The listing reveals that the device will be available in two memory variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 400GB via micro SD card slot.
For optics, the Nokia 7.1 Plus or Nokia X7 will sport a 12-megapixel primary lens and 13-megapixel secondary sensor at the back. For the front, there will be a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo and it will surely fall under Android One programme. It will sport a 3400mAh battery with fast charging support and connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 154.8 x 75.76 x 7.97mm and weighs 185 grams.
