Recently, HMD Global launched Nokia 6 (2018) Android 7.1.1 Nougat in China. Now as per a report, the device has started receiving an Android Oreo update along with support for Google Play.
According to a recent NokiaPowerUser report, a software update arrives immediately after booting up the device and the update rolls out Android Oreo to the smartphone. The update also brings in the ability to install Google Services onto the phone as it is exclusive to China.
After the Oreo update, the smartphone will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. So, for example, one can minimise a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email. Android Oreo has other features like including Background limits, installation of apps via APK, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Wide-gamut colour for apps, Snoozing individual notification, Adaptive icons, Keyboard navigation, WebView enhancements and much more.
The Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone is priced at 1499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 14,655 for the 32GB internal storage variant while the 64GB internal storage variant will cost you 1699 Yuan which is approximately 16,610. The device comes in Black and Silver colour variants.
Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD with a screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with Adreno 508 GPU. The phone is backed by 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which lies on the back of the device.
