Twelve devices were launched this week including two tablets.

This week the Indian smartphone market saw a bit more activity than last few weeks. The No 2 handset maker of the country, Micromax, was leading from the front with four new devices. Both InFocus and Lenovo were also in the limelight due to their new mid-range smartphones. Samsung, Gionee, Asus too expanded their smartphone portfolios while iBall announced launch of two tablets.

Lenovo Vibe Shot – Rs 25,499

The Lenovo Vibe Shot certainly has created the most ripples. Price at Rs 25,499, the Lenvo Vibe Shot offers a 5 inch full IPS display, Lollipop operating system and an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, which runs with 3 of RAM. The of the Lenovo Vibe Shot stands at 32 GB to which you can add another 128 GB via a micro SD card.

The primary camera of the phone is a 16 megapixel shooter which comes with autofocus, 6-piece lens, triple LED flash, and optical image stabilisation. For selfies, it has an 8 megapixel front camera. The Lenovo Vibe Shot is a phone with 4G, GPS (A-GPS), Bluetooth, and WiFi. The 2900 battery can provide up to 14 hours of or 360 hours of standby time.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE – Rs 8,600
