Meizu is all set to launch its next smartphone – Meizu M6T at an event on May 29 in China. The launch event will be held at Beijing Sanlitun Mega Studio Theatre in Beijing, China at 2:30 PM local time (12:00 PM IST) for which the company has also started sending out media invites.
Meizu has sent tee shirts as invites to various media organisations in China for the launch. As per the report of MyDrivers, the tee shirts come printed with name and launch date of the smartphone, as well as paper tickets.
As far as the specs of the Meizu M6T are concerned, reports suggest that it could be the very same MQ118 Meizu phone that was certified by China’s TENAA website recently. The Meizu 6T is said to feature a 5.7 inches HD+ display with 1440 x 720 pixel Resolution and powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core processor. It will also feature a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The smartphone might have 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM with 16GB/32GB/64GB storage variants and support for microSD cards. It features 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup and a front camera of 8-megapixel. The smartphone will run on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Flyme OS 6.2 and packed with a 3,230mAh battery. It will have connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. The handset measures 152.3 × 73 × 8.4mm and weighs 154g.
Meanwhile the phone has also been spotted on a GeekBench Benchmarking website. The listing shows the some of the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. In the GeekBench listing, the Meizu M6T scored 460 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 1284 points. It shows Meizu M6T has 2GB RAM and 1.30 GHz quad-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
