MediaTek has announced the launch of its latest Chipset known as Helio P35. the chipset is reported to make its Indian debut with the launch of Oppo A5s smartphone.
The latest chipset from MediaTek is manufactured through TSMC 12nm FinFET process. The chipset can support up to Full HD+ display on smartphones with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a maximum display resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The Processor is powered by octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.3GHz along with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The processor supports up to 6GB of LPDDR3/ LPDDR4 RAM along with eMMC 5.1 storage.
For optics, the MediaTek Helio P35 can support up to 13MP + 13MP of dual-camera setup and up to the 25-megapixel single camera. The hardware also supports Depth of Field (commonly known as Bokeh effect). The chip also features Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) along with Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC), which cleverly reduced jello effect when capturing fast action or panning video.
The chipset also features low-light performance, multi-frame noise reduction and clear-image zoom technology. The processor is also equipped with Instant Auto Exposure (AE) for accurate point focusing. Coming to AI-enhancements, it is equipped with features like Face ID (Face Unlock), Smart Photo Album, and Single-Cam/Dual-Cam Bokeh. On the connectivity front, it supports dual 4G SIM with VoLTE/ViLTE support. It is equipped with Cat-7 speeds and it also features TAS 2.0 smart Antenna technology.
