LYF smartphones and JioFi 4G hotspot now available on Jio.com

All the devices come with Jio Happy New Year Offer.

The LYF smartphones which were till now available on Reliance Digital website, e-commerce websites and other offline stores across the country are now available for purchase on company’s own e-commerce store, Jio.com. Along with the smartphones, Reliance Jio is also selling JioFi hotspot on its website. The company is claiming to deliver the devices on your home step in three to five working days.
LYF smartphones
To purchase either the smartphones or the router, one has to head to Jio.com and click on Devices tab on the left side of the website. Currently, the company has listed only three smartphones on its website. The LYF Water 11 in Gold colour, Water 8 in White colour, and Earth 1 in White colour are available on the Jio site at Rs 7,999, Rs 8,999, and Rs 19,399 respectively. The JioFi 4G Hotspot is available on the website for purchase for Rs 1,999. All the three smartphones and the router come with Jio Happy New Year Offer. The Offer gives you free unlimited voice and video calls, 4G Data and Jio Apps till 31st March, 2017. However, it is also to be noted that all these smartphones and router are already available on various e-commerce websites.
LYF smartphones
The LYF Earth 1 was launched earlier this year in January. The LYF Earth 1 has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) offering a pixel density of 401 PPI. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. The handset has also plenty of storage space – 32 internal and a 64 GB micro card slot.

Besides, the LYF Earth 1 offers dual rear camera of 13 and 2 megapixel resolution as well as an LED flash light. For selfies, the handset offers a 5 megapixel front camera. The dual SIM phone runs on Lollipop 5.1.1 operating system. The handset has a 3500 mAh Li-Po battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, micro USB port, WiFi (b/g/n), 4.0, GPS and FM radio. It measures 154 x 76.6 x 7.25 mm and weighs 162.5 grams.

LYF Water 11 was launched in September this year. The LYF Water 11 has a 5-inch IPS display that has resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. A 1.3 GHz quad-core processor (MediaTek MT6735 chipset), Mali T-720 GPU and 3GB of powers this phone. For storage, it has 16GB of internal storage and if you run out of storage, you can add a micro SD card of up-to 32GB capacity in its expandable storage slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

The Water 11 gets its power from a 2100 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer battery, which claims to deliver up-to 7 hours of talk-time and up-to 300 hours of on 4G network. A 13-megapixel auto focus shooter is in its back while a 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera is in its front for selfies and video calls. Camera features include 4X (Rear and Front), Auto-Focus, Multi Angle View Mode, Auto-Scene Detection, Face Detection, Video Snapshot, Smile Shot and Gesture Capture. Further, the LYF Water 11 offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE (Video & HD Voice Call), WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, a Micro USB Port 2.0, Ambient Light Sensor, and Proximity Sensor. The handset measures 141mm x 70mm x 7.3mm and weighs around 134.5 grams.

The LYF Water 8 was launched in July this year. The LYF Water 8 has a 5-inch AMOLED display that has resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (high definition). A 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor, Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM powers this phone. For storage, it has 16GB of internal storage and if you run out of storage, you can add a micro SD card of up-to 128GB capacity in its expandable storage slot. However, it runs on the older Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.

The Water 8 gets its power from a 2600 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer non-removable battery, which claims to deliver up-to 10 hours of talk-time and up-to 320 hours of standby time on 4G network. A 13-megapixel auto focus shooter is in its back while a 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera is in its front for selfies and video calls. LED flash lights are present in both its front and rear panels. Camera features include Digital Zoom 6X, ChromaFlashTM, OptiZoomTM, Exmor-R CMOS Image Sensor, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Touch to focus, White Balance, and ISO.

Further, the LYF Water 8 offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE (Video & HD Voice Call), WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Calling, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, a Micro USB Port 2.0, Gyroscope, Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, and E-Compass. The handset measures 142mm x 70.5mm x 7.0mm and weighs around 122 grams.
