LG to unveil two new Android 4.0 smartphones

The smartphones to be unveiled includes a Tegra 3 device and a dual core mid range smartphone.

LG is going to unveil two new Android 4.0 based smartphones at the Mobile World Congress which is to be held in Barcelona at the end of this month.

The leaked images of the smartphones appeared on the website of a certification agency for electronic devices – Universal Plug and Play (upnp). The code-names for the two devices, named LG-P880 and the LG-P700, are expected to be launched with Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) operating system.

The P880, according to some reports, will be called LG X3 (Optimus). It will, according to reports, come with a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×720, Tegra 3 processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, and a 8 MP back camera. The 9mm thick device is also expected to have a (with 21 Mbps speed), NFC and low-powered 4.0.

The LG-P700, on the other hand, will be a mid level smartphone with a 1 Ghz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and a qHD touch-screen.

LG will have more devices to show at the MWC. A day ago, the South Korean company also showed a teaser of Optimus Vu already confirming third smartphone.
