Huawei has rolled out the Android Lollipop OS update for Honor 4C while the same will be released for the Honor 6 on September 25.
The Android 5.1 update is not available over the air (OTA). To update your Honor 4C you will have to take the side loading route or you can click EMUI Updater App which come preinstalled on your smartphone.
To get started, go to www.hihonor.in. Once you are on the site, click “support” tab which is in the top navigation panel after that click on “download†button which is just below the top navigation panel and then finally scroll down to the software section on the page and click on the download tab corresponding to Honor 4C smartphone. After doing this, you will be able to download a zip file.
After this, boot into recovery (power + volume down) mode where one has to first select “Wipe data and cache”, then you have to go to homepage and select “Install from SD” and choose zip file that has been downloaded. After installing is done, reboot the device and you can start using the upgraded device.
In case you want to update your phone through EMUI app, open the app select “Local update” option to start the upgrading process. But, keep in mind that even if you are updating your device through the updater app you have to first download the zip file before initiating the process.
The Huawei Honor 4C is currently selling at Rs 8,999. It is 6.2 mm thick and weighs 162 grams. It offers a 5 inch IPS display with high definition. The smartphone has superb 2 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and a 32 GB micro SD card slot.
The Honor 4C is powered by a 1.2 GHz octa core Processor and Mali 450 MP4 graphics processor. It has a 2550 mAh. On the camera front, it has a 13 Megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The dual SIM Honor 4C has also plenty of connectivity features including Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G, micro USB port, and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.
