HTC recently announced its first 5 inch screen smartphone in Japan and now tech world is abuzz about its launch in USA and European markets in December this year.
Given HTC’s track record off late, its launch in India will not be far away either but a delaying factor in this effect could be the delay in arrival of the non LTE version of the phone which will be launched in India. However, we are eagerly awaiting the official announcement to this effect.
The phone, called HTC J Butterfly in Japan, is likely to be named HTC DLX for rest of the world. It has a 5-inch, 1920x1080p full HD resolution based Super LCD 3 display, which makes it the first 5 inch smartphone with full HD display. And it is not just the display is brilliant, even other hardware of the phone are equally mouth-watering such as Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 8 Megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera.
The HTC DLX might get a bigger 2500 mAh battery compared to a 2020 mAh battery of the HTC J.
HTC J Butterfly also comes with micro SD card support, LTE connectivity, NFC, HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, and Infrared. HTC has put Sense 4+ UI on the smartphone, which was recently seen on HTC One X+ smartphone.
The phone is quite slim as it measures only 9.1mm in thickness. HTC will make it available in Red, White and Black colours.
