HMD Global working on Nokia 5 (2018)?

Nokia 5 was launched in India last year in November. Now seems like HMD Global is working on its successor named as Nokia 5 (2018). The company has seemingly confirmed the arrival of the successor on Twitter.

The Nokia 5 (2018) has been confirmed by Chief Product Officer, HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas on his official twitter handle. While replying to a Twitter user about Nokia 5 (2018), Juho Sarvikas tweeted “Stay Tuned”. His reply hints that the successor of Nokia 5 the phone is incoming soon. Sadly his reply does not reveal anything about the launch date or any other details of the upcoming Nokia smartphone.

Recently, the roll out the 4G LTE support on the second SIM slot of Nokia 7 Plus was also confirmed by Juho Sarvikas. The dual SIM based smartphone was initially launched with 4G LTE support only on one SIM card slot. But now, HMD Global will roll out the 4G LTE support on the second SIM slot as well soon.

HMD Global rolled out Android Oreo 8.1 update to its Nokia 5 in February this year. Nokia 5 earlier received Oreo 8.0 update this year in January.
