It seems that Google is all set to launch its latest set of smartphones in India on May 8. The company has teased the launch date on Flipkart.
The Flipkart listing reveals that Google will launch new Pixel smartphones on May 8 and it also confirms that the phones will be exclusively available on the e-commerce platform. The teaser says, “Something big is coming to the Pixel universe.” This simply means that the company will introduce the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones during the event.
Previously, a purple coloured variant of the Pixel 3a was spotted online. It features a yellow button on the right side. The latest colour adds to the previously leaked black and white variants. There are rumours that an Iris colour variant is also in the pipeline.
Pixel 3a will feature a 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The Pixel 3a XL will come with a 6-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2220 pixels. The latter will notably be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC.
Both phones will come with 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB storage configurations and will run Android 9 Pie. As for optics, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL will feature a single 12.2MP rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8MP wide-angle sensor on the front for selfies.
