TMI’s Take:
TCL now joins the big club of Chinese smartphone makers in India that includes Xiaomi, Oppo, Gionee, Vivo, and LeEco. With Chinese smartphone market saturating, they are now looking for other markets and found India to be their best bet. But surviving in India will not be that easy for any of them. Already the competition has reached unimaginable heights. TCL’s first smartphone for India, the TCL 560 has the latest Android OS and looks decent in other areas as well. But the company needs much better products and has to expand its services if it is planning to become a serious player in India in future.
