Celkon has launched a huge 6.95 inch display bearing phablet (though it is more like a tablet), called Xion S CT695, for Rs 7,299. The handset is available in black colour only and weighs 250 grams which is still on the lower side considering its size. The Xion S’s huge size is palpable from its dimension – 180×104.4×8.55mm (height, width, thickness).
Though quite big, the 6.95 inch display of Celkon Xion S offers only 1024×600 pixels resolution. Note that though 5 inch smartphones priced below do offer high definition Resolution but most 7 inch tablets in the price bracket still offer the same display resolution as this Celkon device. Also, it has a meagre 2500 mAh battery which claims to offer only 3 hours of talktime and 30 hours of standby. Most 7 inch tablets come with around 4000 mAh battery so by that standard the Celkon Xion S’s battery is definitely can be termed as puny.
Thankfully, the Xion S offers 1 GB RAM which in association with Mali 400 GPU and 1.2 Ghz dual core Mediatek processor should offer an appreciable performance. It has also decent 8 GB internal storage and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. This phablet has a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera.
Besides, the Celkon Xion S offers dual SIM with 3G connectivity, FM radio, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3.5 mm jack and a Micro USB port.
