Apple has announced that it will offer free repair programme for select iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models that are facing ‘No Power’ issue. The repair programme has been made to live globally.
The whole scenario came into limelight when multiple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users complained that their smartphones were not able to turn on. The company says that the ‘No Power’ issue occurred due to a ‘component that may fail’. Customers whose iPhone model are turning on can get it fixed through this free repair programme.
The company says that the issue is limited to a serial number range that was manufactured between October 2019 to August 2019. Customers can check for the serial number on Apple’s official site through serial number checker and check the eligibility of free repair on their iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
The brand further mentioned that the repair programme covers the iPhone models for 2 years after the first sale of the unit. Apple says that customers should find the nearest Apple-authorized service provider to have their iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus serviced.
“Apple has determined that certain iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not power on due to a component that may fail. This issue only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019,” the company said in a statement.
