Transsion Holdings Conglomerate, whose ITEL brand is said to be a leading mobile phone maker in the world with presence in over 40 plus countries, has announced its entry in India.
As per reports, it will soon roll out its mobile phones in India in various price categories from Rs 700 to Rs 7,000. In phase one, the company will target North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand while in phase two, ITEL will launch its devices in North West region such as Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The company announced to launch features phones, smartphones as well as accessories. Feature phones will be launched in three versions â€“ selfie focused phones under SmartSelfie, phones with big batteries under SmartPower and good looking phones under Shine series.
It has also showcased six phones SmartSelfie it2180, SmartPower it5600, SmartSelfie it5231, PowerPro it1410, Wish it1508 and its flagship product, the SelfiePro it1511.
The SelfiePro it1511 is a 4G enabled smartphone and it has the Android Marshmallow operating system. Besides it comes with dual SIM with dual standby feature.
ITEL is also planning to set up manufacturing units in India and is planning to establish 100 service centres across the country.
Speaking on its India launch, Sudhir Kumar, CEO, itel India, commented, “India has emerged as a key geography for any global player.
