Xiaomi has recently been gaining a lot of traction among Indian consumers. But along with that a lot of consumers have been unhappy with the company because of the limited availability of devices whenever a new smartphone goes on sale. Also, a couple of incidents in the last two months where it was reported that Xiaomi devices blasted resulting in injuries to their owners resulted in apprehensions in the mind of consumers who were looking to buy Xiaomi products.
At the launch of Xioaomi Mi A1, we caught up with Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP of Xioami, and enquired from him are Xiaomi devices safe? He said, “All our handset are 100 percent safe.” We did ask him other questionsas well related to the shortage of smartphones, after sales service, offline and online strategy and of course whythe shift towards Android One especiallykeeping in mind that they have been pushing MIUI as a better alternative to Stock Android for the last three years in India.
