Alcatel Onetouch today forayed in the tablet market in India with the launch of its flagship tablet – POP 8S, which will be available exclusively from Flipkart for Rs 10,499. The POP 8S is the first tablet of Alcatel in India.
The POP 8S comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core Processor (MSM8916) and an 8 inch IPS screen with 1280 X 800 resolution. This 7.9 mm thick tablet, which weighs just 327 grams, runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It has a 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal Memory and expandable storage of up to 64GB. The tablet comes in full black colour and offers a 5 Megapixel 5 megapixel auto focus camera and a 3 megapixel front camera.
Besides, the Alcatel Onetouch POP 8S offers Bluetooth, FM radio, WiFi (b/g/n), GPS, IR blaster, USB OTG functionality, and most importantly 4G connectivity and SIM calling functionality. The tablet has a 4060 mAh battery with claimed Standby time of 351 hours (WiFi off) and 4.6 hours of video playback time.
