IFA 2019: TCL Plex, Alcatel 3X, Alcatel 1V, Smart Tab 7 announced

The highlight of the launch, the TCL Plex is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor and features a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD NXTVISION display with real-time SDR to HDR conversion and 6-axis colour enhancement. TCL has also launched two new smartphones and a tablet under its Alcatel branding.

At the IFA 2019 conference in Berlin, TCL has announced the TCL Plex smartphone alongside the Alcatel 3X, Alcatel 1V smartphones and Alcatel Smart Tab 7 tablet. The new products launched from TCL are available for a starting price of €79 (approx. Rs 6,300).

TCL Plex

TCL Plex features a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen with NXTVISION, 6-axis colour enhancement and real-time SDR to HDR conversion. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage. The phone comes running 9 Pie with TCL on top and features a 3,820mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

TCL Plex

For the camera, the Plex is equipped with a triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP F/1.8 main shooter, 16MP F/2.4 ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera module is enabled with TCL Super Night Mode, 960 super slow-mo video recording and two flash units. There’s a 24MP front camera that users 4-in-1 big technology for selfies ad video recording.

There’s a square-shaped fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone which has a 3D holographic finish on the glass panel. The phone comes with a 3.5mm jack and a T-Cast to control TCL TVs from within the device.

The TCL Plex smartphone will be available later this year in the last quarter in Obsidian Black and Opal White colours for a starting price of €329 (approx. Rs 26,200).

Alcatel 3X

Alcatel 3X

The Alcatel 3X features a 6.5-inch display with a of 1600 x 720 pixels, a waterdrop notch and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 processor with Mali G71 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It runs on Android 9 Pie with a dedicated Google Assistant button and is juiced by a 4,000mAh battery.

For imaging, the Alcatel 3X is equipped with a triple camera setup with a combination of a 16MP F/1.8 primary, 8MP F/2.2 camera and a 5MP F/2.4 depth sensor. There’s an 8MP F/2.0 camera on the front which is positioned inside the waterdrop notch.

The Alcatel 3X will be available for a price of €149 (approx. Rs 11,850) in Jewellery Green, Jewellery Rose and Jewellery Black colours.

Alcatel 1V

Alcatel 1V

The Alcatel 1V features a 5.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by an Octa-core UNISOC SC9863A processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. It is backed by a 2460mAh battery and runs on Android Pie (Go Edition) and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

Housed inside a plastic body, the Alcatel 1V equips a single 5MP F/2.4 camera at the back with an LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front with F/2.2 aperture. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back and the device comes with port and Dual support.

The Alcatel 1V will be available in Metallic Blue, Metallic Gold, Anthracite Black and Metallic Rose colours fora price of €79 (approx. Rs 6,300).

Alcatel Smart Tab 7

Alcatel Smart Tab 7

The Alcatel Smart Tab 7 features a 7-inch display with a 600×1024 resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The device comes with a 2MP selfie camera and a rear camera with a built-in kickstand.

The Smart Tab 7 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8167B processor with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage, expandable via microSD. The device runs on Android 9 Pie with Alcatel’s custom UI and is backed by a 2,580mAh battery. There’s a dedicated Kids Mode which supports app usage monitoring.

The Alcatel Smart Tab 7 will be available for a starting price of €79 (approx. Rs 6,300).
