Airtel TV app’s ‘Election 2019’ section will have state wise election updates in eight regional languages.
The Rs 119 prepaid recharge has been introduced as a segmented tariff plan in all the 22 telecom circles.
Both the new plans are now available for users, however, it is not known whether they are available for Airtel subscribers across the country.
The new Airtel recharge will compete directly with the Reliance Jio's Rs 1,699 prepaid recharge and Vodafone Idea Rs 1,499 prepaid recharge.
With this, users will be able to enjoy Amazon Prime services at a starting price of Rs 799.
This Airtel Rs 419 plan competes with Reliance Jio plan prepaid plan of Rs 349 which comes with of 70 days and offers 1.5GB data per day. The Jio plan also offers unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day with access to the Jio suite of apps as well.
Once the three months free subscription is over, users will be able to pay for their Netflix subscription using Airtel postpaid or home broadband bill. The company has also announced that existing Netflix users will be also eligible for this gift. Users eligible for the offer will be to avail this offer through Airtel TV and MyAirtel application.
Under this partnership, Airtel customers will get an exclusive access to the premium content of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL). The company says that over the next three years, the curated/select video content produced by ZEEL will be available on Airtel TV application.
Airtel wants to entice its 2G and 3G users to switch to 4G with device partnerships and special offers. The brand wants to offer special postpaid plans, loyalty programs to retain them. The company wants to fully utilise micro-marketing to cover every nook and cranny of the country.
