Realme 2 smartphone comes loaded with a diamond-like finish at the back, which has an optical coating to give a refractive lustre like feel. The phone features a 6.2-inch SuperView HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and a 271ppi pixel density. The phone features a notch on the top and it is equipped with 88.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The update on the Realme C1 shifts the build number of the device to version RMX1811EX_11_A.54 and weighs 2GB in size. The Realme 2 update arrives in the form of version RMX1805EX_11_A.54 and also weighs in at 2GB. Both updates come with the June 5, 2019 batch of Android security updates.
Realme has now announced that beta testing for the Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 update will start on May 15 for the Realme 2 Pro. This will be followed by the Realme 1 and Realme U1 on June 5; and Realme 2 and Realme C1 on June 15. With ColorOS 6, Realme will also add Hyper Boost 2.0 on all its phones.
During the sale, Realme 2 Pro will receive a price cut of Rs 1,000 during the sale and will start at Rs 10,990 for the 4GB/64GB model. The Realme U1 will also be available for a starting price of Rs 8,999. Realme is offering free Realme Buds the first 500 customers of the Realme 2 Pro and Realme U1.
Realme revealed that the Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1 and Realme U1, all will be updated to Google’s Android 9 Pie andthe latest ColorOS 6.0 UI. Realme also revealed that all of its older smartphone will also receive security patches prior to the major software update.
ColorOS 6 on Realme smartphones will unlock the ability to access apps through an app drawer in the near future. Until now, Realme phones featured iPhone-like app layout on the home screen which added the newly installed apps directly on the screen.
The news comes from changelogs released officially by Realme in its forum, the first of which was posted for the Realme 1 device. The update shifts the build number of the device to CPH1861EX_11.A.27 and features the latest December 2018 batch of Android Security updates from Google.
The development comes as a reply to a tweet by Realme India’s support team who implied that Realme smartphones (probably all of them) will be up to date with the newest Android 9 Pie features. The company indicated that the devices will get hold of the update in the first or second quarter of 2019.
Realme took to Twitter to thank its Indian users for having helped the newly-independent brand to achieve this feat. Realme managed to sell as much as 1.7 lakh more units to bring the total count to 3.7 lakh of units sold to 3.7 lakh in just two flash sales but hasn’t revealed anything about future flash sales.
The first device under Realme’s independent branding has also managed to hit a new sales record with its first sale online. According to Counterpoint, the company now ranks at 4th position in the online smartphone market with a 4 percent market share in just one month of the sale.
The Realme 2 is one trendy phone to get your hands on if you’re looking for a budget device to feature a dual camera setup, a notched screen, stylish looks and large battery. But there’s a problem, the phone which it faces a major challenge from is none other than its older sibling, the Realme 1.

Sources familiar with the development told The Mobile Indian that the phone will be available in Diamond Blue, Diamond Black and Diamond Red colour options. Further, the phone will be available in three different variants out of which one will be a budget-centric option of the latest smartphone as well.
The company has started sending out media invites for an event, which is scheduled to take place on August 28 at 12:00 PM IST. The invite reveals a glimpse of the phone, which reveals a notch on the top. This will be the company’s first smartphone that will come loaded with a notch.
