Six Sony Xperia smartphones receive permanent price drops of up to Rs 10,000

The list of Xperia smartphones getting a price cut includes the flagship Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Plus, Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus. What’s interesting is to note that the latest price cut offers the mentioned Xperia device for as much as Rs 10,000 lower than its precarious price.

On the occasion of the festive season in India, Sony is now offering its latest smartphones with a permanent price drop. The Japanese manufacturer will be offering six of its smartphones at lower prices from here on out, meaning these are permanent price cuts.

Sony Xperia R1 @ Rs 7,990

The smartphone initially came with a price tag of Rs 12,990 and a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Xperia R1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 2620mAh battery. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor, 8x and LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

Sony Xperia R1 Plus @ Rs 10,990

The R1 Plus is the elder sibling to the Xperia R1 which initially came for a launch price of Rs 14,990 and is now available for Rs 10,990. The device features a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor. The internals is accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 2620mAh battery. There’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor, 8x digital zoom and LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

Sony Xperia XA1 @ Rs 12,990

The Xperia XA1 is currently available for Rs 12,990 instead of its original price of 17,990. The device features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit (Quad-core 2.3GHz + Quad-core 1.6GHz) processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage. Xperia XA1 offers a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS for a mobile image sensor, aperture f/2.0, Hybrid Autofocus, 5x Clear Image Zoom, LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 23mm wide-angle lens.

Sony Xperia XA1 Plus @ Rs 14,990

The Xperia XA1 Plus initially priced at Rs 19,990 but is currently available for Rs 14,990. The phone comes loaded with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor along with Mali T880 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The XA1 Plus boasts a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Hybrid AF and LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel short with f/2.0 aperture, 1 / 4 inch Exmor R sensor and 23mm wide-angle lens. The phone runs on 7.0 Nougat and is backed by a 3430mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive fast charging.

Sony Xperia XZ1 @ Rs 34,990

Xperia XZ1 can be called Sony’s flagship smartphone of 2017 which came at a steep price of Rs 44,990 but can be currently purchased for Rs 34,990. The device sports a 5.2-inch Full HD HDR display with Triluminos, X-reality picture engine and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on front and back. The phone came powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The primary camera comes with a 19-megapixel sensor with a 1/2.3-inch sensor along with predictive capture, autofocus burst, anti-distortion shutter, triple image sensing technology and recording. For the front, there is a 13-megapixel Exmor RS sensor with a 22mm wide angle lens and aperture f/2.0.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium @ Rs 39,990

Sony released the Xperia XZ Premium during the summer of 2017 with a launch price of Rs 49,990. The XZ Premium has now received a price cut of Rs 10,000 and thus is available for purchase at Rs 39,990. The device sports a 5.5-inch 4K HDR Triluminous display with X-Reality mobile picture engine and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back panel. It’s powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There’s a 19-megapixel rear camera which supports Super slow motion 960fps video capture, Predictive Capture, Ant-distortion shutter, Triple image sensing technology, predictive Hybrid Autofocus, 5-axis stabilisation and 4K video recording while a 13-megapixel Exmor RS for a mobile image sensor, 22mm wide angle lens offers front-facing selfies.
