Tablet and computer hardware giant, Asustek has announced the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 upgrade for select models of Transformer tablets. Asus Germany, which announced this, said that the update will be rolled out to Asus transformer model TF 101 and Asus Eee Pad slider SL 101 initially.
Earlier there were rumours that Asus is releasing the update for its entire range of Transformers tablet. Denying this, Asus’s Germany arm said that not all the devices under the Transformer range will get the Jelly Bean upgrade. Instead, the update will be rolled out to Asus Transformer model TF 101 and Asus Eee Pad Slider SL 101 to begin things with.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, is the upgrade to Android Ice Cream Sandwich, that comes with a number of new features and improvements, including speed enhancements, improved search features and a smaller voice recognition engine that fits in the device itself without having the need to install external support resources as well. Which means for voice recognition and support the device does not require active internet connection.
