Samsung Galaxy On8, a budget smartphone, has been launched in India for Rs 16,990 in two colour option –lack and blue. It will be available from August 6 on Flipkart and Samsung Online Shop. Recently, Samsung had launched Galaxy On6 smartphone also in India for Rs 14,490.
The Samsung Galaxy On8 features a 6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Display with 720 x 1480 pixels resolution and18.5:9an aspect ratio. Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM powers the smartphone. It has a 64GB Internal Memory which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
The smartphone features ‘Chat over Video’, which allows an uninterrupted video viewing experience while chatting simultaneously. It also comes pre-loaded with Samsung Mall app, which enables users to shop for a product on e-commerce websites by clicking a picture of it with the phone’s camera.
For the camera, the Galaxy On8 has a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 Aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera has camera modes like Live focus, Background Blur Shape, Portrait Dolly, and Portrait Backdrop. For the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture. The smartphone is backed up by 3000mAh battery. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. It has various connectivity features including will offer Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, micro USB 2.0 port, 3.5mm Audio Jack and FM radio.
