The sale will held at 12 P.M and it will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 5,999 for the 2GB + 16GB storage option, while the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage is priced at Rs 6,199.

As an introductory offer, Xiaomi is giving a discount of Rs 200 to mark its 5th year celebration. This means users can buy the smartphone at Rs 5,799 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and Rs 5,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. However, the discount is only valid for the month of July. Post that, the phones will be available at their regular price tag.

This is the first Redmi 7A is the first smartphone from the company in Redmi A series to feature an octa-core processor. Both the variants come with an option of expanding the storage up to 256GB via card.

Redmi 7A features a 5.45-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display 1440 x 720 pixels screen and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 with Adreno 505 GPU.

The smartphone runs 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 on top and is powered by a 4000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging which claims to offer 198 hours of music playback, 17 hours HD video playback, 20 hours of VoLTE calling. It comes with a single 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX 486 sensor along with an flash, PDAF phase focus, AI beauty and on the front, it has a 5MP AI selfie shooter. The company will soon add AI scene detection feature pretty soon in India.

Connectivity options include dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm jack, and FM Radio. The phone measures 146.30×70.41×9.55mm and weighs150 grams.
