The new data add-on packs can be simply divided into unlimited and limited data offering. Under unlimited add-on packs, once the FUP limit is over, users can still browse with reduced speed. However, in limited add-on packs, users need to pay the amount of the data used, once the limit is over.
The Vodafone new pack is a voice only plan which meant especially for the need of heavy calling as the plan does not come with any data or SMS benefits.
The Rs 29 plan from BSNL offers you unlimited voice calling benefits to any network, unlimited data 100 SMS messages per day, and free PRBT (Personalised Ringback Tone). The plan comes with a FUP limit of 2GB data per day. After consumption of 2GB data, the speed will be reduced to 80Kbps.
Apart from Airtel Rs 399 plan, there are other Infinity postpaid plans from Airtel which include Rs 499, Rs 649, Rs 799 and Rs 1,199. But unlike all these plans, Rs 399 plan does not come with Amazon Prime subscription.
DoT has sent the letter to all telecom operators, ISPAI, COAI among others on July 18 to seeks their inputs in blocking applications under Section 69A of the IT act. The said section gives power to the government to block public access to any information that is circulated through computer resources.

Reliance Jio has silently introduced a new add-on pack for its prepaid users that gives them additional data over existing prepaid packs. Users will get 2GB of 4G data per day over the primary prepaid plan. This means users option for Rs 399 plan, will now get 3.5GB of data per day instead of 1.5GB/day.
Idea Rs 295 plan comes with a validity of 42 days. It offers 5GB of 2G/3G/4G data for the entire validity period of 42 days and 100 SMSes per day. After users exhaust the 5GB quota of the data before 42 days, they will be charged at 4p/10KB.
