Reliance Jio has brought a new JioFi 4G device. The new device is priced at Rs 1,999 compared to Rs 999 price tag of the older device. However, with the new device you will get benefits of over Rs 3,500.
The new JioFi shares many of its features with its older sibling but it comes with a sandstone like finish (atleast that what the pictures suggest).
Like the Rs 999 JioFi, the new one can be used for WiFi connectivity for up to 10 devices. Also they both offer USB teethering for one device.
Both the devices have IEEE 802.11b/g/n 2.4G standard. There are Micro USB port, micro SD card slot as well as a slot for a nano SIM in both. The new JioFi has a bigger battery though – a 2600 mAh unit compared to 2300 mAh battery of the older unit. The new JioFi is taller, wider but slimmer than the older one – the new device measures 96.6 X 65.2 X 15 mm compared to 85 mm X 55 mm X 16 mm of older JioFi.
In the new JioFi, the power button is located in the right hand side and it has just three indicators for battery, signal and WiFi status. The Jio logo is there in the front. In the older device, there were five indicators in the front along with a power button.
Coming to the offer part, the device offers benefits of Rs 3,500+. To avail the Offer, the customer needs to purchase JioFi device and follow below given steps:
1. Buy JioFi device and upon delivery, obtain a Jio SIM card by visiting any of the Reliance Digital/Jio Store.
2. At the time of Jio SIM activation, please choose JioFi Plan option to get UNLIMITED VOICE+DATA worth Rs 1,295 for 8 months, 6 months or 4 months based on the JioFi Plan chosen. Rs.99 for prime membership will be provided. Additionally get vouchers worth Rs. 2300/- in your MyJio account from Paytm, Ajio & Reliance Digital
If you choose services for eight months, you will get unlimited voice, unlimited data with 1.5GB of Jio 4G data per day and 100 SMS per day every 28 days for 8 cycles.
For the same price, you could choose six months’ services under which you will get same unlimited voice and data but with 2GB Jio 4G data per day and 100 SMS per day every 28 days for 6 cycles.
On choosing 4 months’ option, you will get 3GB Jio 4G data per day for 4 cycles along with other benefits in the other two plans mentioned above.
c. Customer is required to insert the newly activated SIM within 24hrs of SIM activation inside the newly purchased JioFi device to start enjoying the Offer Benefits
3. The Customer will get the Offer Benefits as per option selected amongst Option 1, 2 or 3.
Under the offer, customers will get voucher worth Rs. 1000 (Rs.500+Rs.500) from Reliance Digital and these can be used for purchase above Rs 10,000. Besides, AJIO voucher worth Rs. 500 and Paytm voucher of Rs 800 are being offered. Paytm vouchers will have to be used for booking flight tickets (atleast 2) while AJIO vouchers can be used for a minimum cart value of Rs 1,500.
