Map My India’s Car Pad 5 Android tablet is now available for Rs 17,990 from Snapdeal. The online retailer is also offering a mobile charger worth Rs 2,490 for free with the tablet.
Car Pad 5 was launched by Map My India, an India based navigation hardware and software provider, last month for Rs 19,990. The tablet comes with a 5 inch display and comes integrated with Map My India’s maps.
Car Pad 5 runs on 1 GHz Samsung Processor based on Arm Cortex A8 architecture while running Google Android 2.3.4 operating system. For connectivity, the Car Pad comes with built-in 3G and WiFi connectivity options and also allows users to make calls form the device as a normal smartphone. It features a 5 inch capacitive touch screen display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution but it does not feature an onboard camera.
The Car Pad 5 comes pre-loaded with Map My India’s latest, full 3D GPS navigation interface – Aura. The Map My India maps offers turn-by-turn voice guidance to places, augmented reality with 3D landmarks, buildings and terrain, house-level details, travel guides and nearby information and friend finders services that too without the need of an active network as well for its base navigation services.
The map covers over 6.3 million places, 5,79,000 towns and villages, 4000 cities at street-level, house-level data for 36 cities and 3D landmarks and building footprints of 34 major cities of India. All the maps are loaded on to the device, making it independent of the network.
Car Pad 5 is also available from Map My India’s own website for Rs 19,990 with a 4 GB SD card memory, a windshield mount and a car charger.
