Lenovo Phab 2 and Phab 2 Plus with metal body, 6.4-inch display unveiled

Lenovo Phab 2 is to be made available from next month while the Phab 2 Plus will be released in September.

Lenovo has introduced the Phab 2 and Phab 2 Plus phablets at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 conference, which was held yesterday in San Francisco, USA. The Phab 2 is priced at $199 (approximately Rs 13,249) and will be available from next month, whereas the Phab 2 Plus is to cost $299 (approximately Rs 19,974) and will be available worldwide from September. Both the phablets come in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey colors options.

Lenovo Phab 2 and Phab 2 Plus will succeed the Lenovo Phab and Phab Plus phablets. Lenovo Phab was launched in India earlier this year at Rs 11,999, whereas the Phab Plus phablet was launched in India last year at Rs 18,490.

The Lenovo Phab 2 has a metal body and features a 6.4-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is armed with 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT8735) processor with Mali-T720 GPU. The Phab 2 comes with 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expandable up-to 128GB via a micro SD card. The phablet flaunts a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash on its back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front panel. Besides, the Phab 2 offers Hybrid Dual SIM, LTE, WiFi (802.11 802.11 a/b/g/n), 4.0, GPS, and Dolby Atmos.

On the other hand, The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus too has a metal body and features a 6.4-inch screen, same as its sibling, but with Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) 2.5D Curved Glass display. It is armed with 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT8783) processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is integrated on the back panel of the phablet.

The Phab 2 Plus comes with 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expandable up-to 128GB via card same as Phab 2 phablet . The phablet flaunts a Dual 13-megapixel auto-laser camera with Dual tone LED Flash on the back and a 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 on the front panel. Besides, the phablet offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and Dolby Atmos.

Both the phablets runs on 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Vibe UI on top of it and are powered by a 4050 battery.
