Indian handset manufacturer, Intex today launched its smartwatch in India for Rs 11,999. named as Intex iRist, the smartwatch will be available exclusively via eBay. Incidentally, it was unveiled today at the MWC Shanghai event.
The Intex iRist is a water and dust proof smartwatch and comes in black, orange and pink colours. It has inbuilt pedometer so like a fitness Band you can use it to check your daily step count. Its 3.9 cm OLED display has 240×240 pixels resolution.
The Intex iRist comes with built in 3G SIM support (single SIM) and offer voice calling as well. It has 4 GB of built in storage, 512 MB RAM, and even an expandable storage slot.
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat based Intex iRist comes with a 1.2 Ghz dual core Processor and can be connected with smartphones via iConnect app. It is said to have a voice assistant using which you can send emails, messages, dial numbers, and can open and close applications.
There is a 600 mAh battery in the Intex iRist that claims to offer up to 200 hours of standby and four hours of talktime. On top of that the Intex smartwatch offers a 5 Megapixel camera with Face Detection feature.
Besides it offers Bluetooth (you can connect it with a Bluetooth headset to enjoy your music), WiFi, and GPS too.
