Gionee has announced the launch of M6 and M6 Plus smartphones in China. Both the smartphones were spotted earlier.
The M6 is packed with a 5000 mAh battery while the M6 Plus has an even bigger 6020 mAh battery capacity. Additionally, they come with 9V2A dual charge chips and as per the company the chip facilitates faster, safer, cooler and simply better charging. The Gionee M6 can also be used as a power bank and claims to charge other devices 20 per cent faster owing to its 1.2A charge current.
The Gionee M6 features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM which can be enlarged by 128 GB through micro SD card. A 13 MP rear camera from Sony IMX 258 and an 8 MP front camera are in the phone as well. The M6 has Amigo 3.2 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Gionee M6 Plus reportedly has the same features as well except a bigger 6 inch display and the 6020 mAh battery. However, some other reports claimed that it has a bigger 16 MP rear camera.
As per Gionee, the M6 has an encrypted chip which will be used to secure a user’s personal data on the device. But sadly, it is meant for Chinese version only. “In the overseas version, M6 comes equipped with a front fingerprint scanner, privacy protection and malware destruction, although it lacks the hardware Encryption feature,†Gionee said in a press release.
The Gionee M6 and M6 Plus comes in Gold & Latte Gold colours. The 64 GB and 128 GB models of M6 are priced at 2699 RMB (Rs 27,200 approximately) and 2899 RMB (Rs 29,211 approximately) respectively while the 64 GB and 128 models of M6 Plus are priced at 2999 RMB (Rs 30,218 approximately) and 3199 RMB (Rs (Rs 32,233 approximately) respectively.
