DataWind, maker of UbiSlate Tablets and Pocket Surfer smartphones, has expanded its portfolio by launching a new tablet – DataWind Tablet PC7SC at Rs 2,999. As per the company, the tablet users can avail free internet browsing for one year through RCom and Telenor network’s prepaid GSM SIM card. Datawind has signed an exclusive agreement with Den Snapdeal TV-Shop for selling these tablets through the latter’s 24X7 TV-commerce channel.
Commenting on the launch, Suneet Singh Tuli, president and chief executive officer, DataWind, said, “We are launching this tablet to address the forgotten billions, who are our largest constituent of digital age today. The DataWind Tablet PC7SC has a 7 inch screen with 800×480 screen Resolution and capacity touch. The tablet is powered by a single core Processor and 512 MB RAM. It comes with 4GB internal memory. Other specifications include Android 4.4.2 and supports Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity options.
