You can easily change your Network provider without changing your number using a service called Mobile Number Portability. What you have to do is to send a message by writing PORT then a space followed by your the existing no. whose operator you want to change & send it to 1900.You will receive a message shortly after which will contain a special pin code. This special pin is valid for about two weeks. Now you should visit any retailer who provides mobile connections & provide him this special pin & tell him to which network you want to change your no.Rest of the formalities will be done by him.You can be charged a fee of Rs. 30 for porting your no. which is the fee set by government , though some companies don't charge this fee.Your existing no. should be ported to your desired network within a week.Remember one thing before porting your no. that your existing balance will not be available to you after porting your no. So use your existing balance before poring your no.Hope you got your answer.
