These are currently considered as the best tablets in the said price range in terms of their features.

Buying a tablet is not that easy these days, not because those are not readily available but due to the variety of options that are available, even in the Rs 20,000- Rs 30,000 segment. The Mobile Indian has thus after careful consideration selected few tablets which are now considered as the best in the said price range, purely in terms of their features.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T311 (Rs 24,000)

We had reviewed it once and were stunned by its performance so there was no second thought before opting for it over others. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T311 comes with a nice 8 inch display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. It has huge 16 internal storage and 64 GB of expandable storage slot.

Moreover, the Tab 3 T311 has 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 5 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, and a 1.5 GHz dual core processor. As I said in the review itself, the tablet gives a flawless performance thanks to its 1.5 GB RAM.

It has also a huge 4450 battery that provides good battery talktime ( 24 hours on3G network). Besides it WiFi and Bluetooth, the Tab 3 is also armed with a single slot that allows it to make calls as well as access 3G.

Apple iPad Mini (16 GB, WiFi, Rs 21,500)

This is the cheapest tablet of Apple that you can afford now which is why we have selected it first. Though many tablets of other manufacturers come with much better specification but the finesse and performance that this tablet provides is unmatched at this price bracket (Rs 21,500).

The said model of Apple iPad Mini comes with 16 GB of and WiFi connectivity and has no cellular connectivity or expandable storage slot. Besides, it has a 7.9 inch LCD IPS display with Oleophobic coating and 1024×768 pixels resolution. It is run by a dual core processor and iOS 6 operating system (Apple has also recently announced iOS 7 for the tablet).

This model of iPad Mini also comes with 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. The 7.2 mm thick iPad Mini also have 4.0 and 3.5 mm jack.

If you want the tablet with cellular connectivity, then you have to spend about Rs 6,000 more.

Though a WiFi model of the Nexus 7 2013 is available for around Rs 20,000, we opted for this as it is compatible. The said model comes with a 7 inch touchscreen with full resolution. It is armed with 2 GB RAM, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core processor and Android KitKat operating system (recently received).

It too has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. It has a Li-Po battery that claims to provide 10 hours of browsing and 9 hours of video playback. This 8.65 mm thick tablet weighs 299 grams and has Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5 mm jack, GPS, WiFi, and 4G (LTE) support.

HP Omni 10 (Rs 27,000):

If you want a Windows based tablet, then the newly announced HP Omni 10 is an attractive option. Currently, available for around Rs 27,000, this tablet offers a 1.4 GHz Intel Atom Z3770 quad core processor whose clock speed increased up to 2.4 GHz in Turbo Mode. This tablet is based on Windows 8.1 operating system which should run smoothly with the 2 GB RAM.

The HP Omni 10 has 32 GB internal storage and it has expandable storage slot as well that can accommodate a micro card of up to 64 GB capacity. It has a 10.1 inch LCD display which has full HD resolution. It comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. For connectivity, it has WiFi, USB OTG, HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, and port.

If you want a smaller and cheaper Windows tablet, then you can consider the Acer Iconia W3-810 which is available for around Rs 25,000.

It comes with a SIM slot but does not allow voice calling but you can use the SIM connectivity to access 3G. Besides, it has WiFi, HDMI, Bluetooth and GPS.
