The subscriber, who likes to avail this service, need to send a SMS from his mobile to 1900. Once the customer sends SMS, he will be receiving a unique porting code from the current service provider. Then he need to fill the application in a particular format and mention the new service provider, the customer would like to subscribe for. The new service provider will collect the information about the user from the current operator. A time period of seven days will be taken for the complete transfer of mobile number to the network of the new mobile operator. As a transformation charge for the new operator the subscriber has to pay the amount of Rs 19.

Because in today's world there are hell lot of security measures, financial dealings, customer support and many more things to be taken care off without compromising the proper functioning of the system. With personalities like those now in the 2G scam thing!!! all around in India, things do need some extra commitment for ensuring unscrewed results...

Because in portablity we have to give the reasons to the older service provider that why we want to switch to other and we want to submit the related documents to them. And it takes almost 7-8 days.

Because when you are porting your number to another operator, you have to submit your documents to the new operator...right? So just like it takes time to activate a new sim card because your documents have to be submitted to the respective operator, the same thing applies to this. Till your documents don't reach the new operator your sim is not ported.

BECOZ IT IS THE POLICY OF THE COMPANY THAT T WILL TAKE 7 DAYS TO PORT FROM ONE PROVIDER TO THE ANOTHER. AS THE COMPANY HAVE TO FETCH WHOLE OF THE INFORMATION OF THE CUSTOMER ABOUT ITS NO., DOCUMENTS,ETC. AND HAVE TO SUPPLY TO THE OTHER COMPANY SO IT TAKES TIME AND THERE ARE MANY CUSTOMERS AT A TIME.
