the company that developed the idea was a development branch of LM Ericsson (now merged with Sony to become SonyEricsson). They developed the idea in the early 90's, and contacted a number of companies in 1995 to see if they would be interested in using the same settings (to continue my earlier metaphor, this would be a bit like one person at a multilingual meeting suggesting that for this meeting, we should all speak english so we can all understand each other). These companies, which included Nokia, IBM and Intel as the major players, agreed, and set up a conglomerate known as the SIG, who formalized an licenced the agreed settings and profiles, and started to use them in the consumer market by the late 90's

Bluetooth technology was first introduced in 1998 with the founding of Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group), whose intent was to provide a new wire replacement technology that would transfer information faster.

Hi dear Bluetooth is an opne wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distance using short wavelength readio transmissions in the ISM ban from 2400-2480 Mhz from fixed and mobile devices. It was introduced by telecom vendor Errison in 1994. It was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS-232 data cable. it connect several devices, while overcoming problems of synchronization.
